In which Beeso and the Doc begin by reviewing the wrong albums and forgeting which albums they've previously reviewed, which is a fucking excellent harbinger of future win. Also this week: Everything (Muse Do) Is A Remix, the importance of not being earnest, Lowered Expectations, life is a mixtape, the English Eagles, trumpet playing bands, the Doc really likes Frenzal Rhomb and Beeso still hates Oasis. This week we reviewed both Villainy's last two albums because fuck Warner Music New Zealand, and the new album slash NZ flag design from Ivan Drago, with Beeso arguing the classic album case for Dire Straits' 1978 debut. The NZ band we couldn't remember was Cairo Knife Fight, whose heaving newbie we reviewed in After Dark #6. As always, next week's and this week's picks are on our #BALLS Spotify playlist.
NEXT WEEK: we welcome Aussie hip-hop legend and OKC Thunder tragic Ozi Batla back to #BALLS to preview the NBA season and talk tuuuunes. Batla has nominated 1992's Stunts, Blunts and Hip Hop by Diamond D and the Psychotic Neurotics as his #BALLS After Dark classic album.
